LYDIA AMAROUCHE
SABR N°02 - Un scorpion dans l’épicerie

“Until that evening, I had no idea there were scorpions in France. In my mind, all scorpions live in Algeria. I don’t exactly know what Algeria is, I never went there, but I know, thanks to my mom, that I’m a scorpio “from the second decan”.”

Lydia Amarouche is an editorial director, author, and curator.  Her work draws on the exploration of archival documents, a raw material that enables her to address especially the question of the colonial past and present. In 2020, she founded Shed Publishing, an independent publishing house that publishes essays on social and political criticism, as well as children's literature.
