Morning Stories
Every morning, on arriving at work, José takes the time to drink tea with his colleagues. It’s a ritual he cherishes, especially for the stories we tell and the bonds we forge.
I’ve been working with José for years and we’ve developed a real friendship based on exchanges and solidarity, which is reflected in our shared practice of writing and drawing. When I listen to his stories, I automatically draw what comes to me on scraps of paper. Then, when the work is finished, I give the drawing to José so that he can collect the memories of our mornings.
Morning Stories presents the drawings produced between December 2024 and January 2025, during these rich moments of storytelling.
